After almost four months out of the ring Becky Lynch returned to action at Survivor Series. Although, as fans know, Lynch doesn’t do things by halves, so she stepped back into the ring for WarGames.
The Man was the last woman into the match, after her participation was only confirmed just 24-hours earlier on SmackDown. Lynch wasted little time in throwing herself back into the action, fighting anyone and everything inside the unforgiving steel structure. In the end it was the former Raw Women’s Champion who grabbed the win after hitting a Leg Drop from the top of the cage onto Dakota Kai and IYO SKY who were positioned on a table below.
Becky Lynch Revels In Comeback
Speaking at the post-Survivor Series press conference, Lynch admitted that she was terrified of the jump, although not in the moment. The Irish star revealed that she actually climbed to the top of the cage before the show to get an idea of the height, but come show night she felt like a superhero.
“Lads, I was terrified [laughs],” Lynch said on her high spot at Survivor Series. “No, I wasn’t terrified in the moment. I was terrified getting up there in practice today, I climbed up [the cage] as I wanted to see the height of it. And my palms were sweaty, knees weak, arms spaghetti [laughs]. There was no vomit on my sweater already, but when you have the feeling and energy of the crowd, I feel like anything is possible. It’s the people that let you feel like you’re a superhero and make you feel like a superhero, so then you become a superhero. And God bless Dakota Kai and IYO SKY, I’m sure they’re feeling a lot worse than I am!”
Becky Lynch hadn’t been seen on WWE television since being attacked by Damage CTRL on the August 1st edition of Monday Night Raw. The beatdown served as a storyline way to write the star off television after she suffered a shoulder injury just two days before at SummerSlam.
