WWE have confirmed that Becky Lynch will be stepping into the ring against an old rival on the January 23rd episode of Monday Night Raw.
Since returning to action at Survivor Series Lynch has been locked in a rivalry with Bayley and the rest of Damage CTRL. The trio attacked Lynch on the Raw after SummerSlam to (storyline) ensure that she would be taking time off due to injury. This meant that when Lynch came back she was a woman on a mission.
Although Lynch was on the winning side of he battle at Survivor Series her war with Bayley has proven to be far from over.
Becky Lynch Confirmed For Grudge Match
On the January 16th edition of the red brand Lynch came out to address her rival, entering through the crowd to a big reaction as usual. The Man slammed Bayley for being a “Karen” and proceeded to mock the former SmackDown Women’s Champion until she came to the ring. Flanked by Dakota Kai and IYO SKY Bayley wasted little time in hitting back in the war of words.
After the pair discussed their history going all of the way back to NXT, Lynch challenged Bayley to a Cage Match in a week’s time on Raw.
Elsewhere Austin Theory will also be in action when he defends his United States Title against Bobby Lashley. The former champion became number one contender after seeing off Seth Rollins, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin, Finn Balor and The Miz in a six-man elimination match.
More gold will be on the line when The Usos put their Raw Tag Team Titles on the line against Judgment Day. It will be a busy night for The Usos who promised that “every generation” of The Bloodline will be on the show to pay tribute to Roman Reigns.
As with any anniversary show, the card is also set to feature a number of special appearances. WWE have announced that The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair, The Bellas, and Shawn Michaels will all be on the show in some capacity.
