Becky Lynch is not only one of the biggest stars in WWE, but one of the biggest female wrestling stars in the world. While her journey to the top was far from straight forward, once Big Time Becks hit the… big time, there was no stopping her.
The Irish star signed with WWE in 2013 and was immediately placed in NXT. Here she formed part of the ‘Four Horsewomen’ and help elevate women’s wrestling in WWE alongside Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair and Bayley. Naturally she didn’t do this without one or two impressive moves in her arsenal.
Becky Lynch Names Favourite Move
While Lynch is known for attacking using her ‘Dis-Arm-Her,’ arm bar, Bex-ploder suplex and Man-Handle Slam among other things. Her favourite is something surprisingly simple. A forearm smash. Yep, Becky Lynch just likes hitting people in the face. The star made the revelation during an interview with ESPN back in 2019.
“To be honest with you, I just like forearming people. It’s so simple, and it always gets a good reaction. You can do all these technical, fancy things, but as soon as you throw a forearm or a punch, it’s on!”
During the interview, Lynch also reflected on her WWE try-out. The Irish star said that her trial was a “absolutely awful.”
“I was so bad, absolutely awful. I deserved to fail because I was completely unathletic, uncoordinated. But there was just something about wrestling … I loved it so much. And I knew I wanted to dedicate everything to it … [I was] the most unathletic. It’s crazy how your formative years shape the person you are. I still think of myself as that little chubby kid that broke the swing while the other kids made fun.”
Becky Lynch hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Bianca Belair at SummerSlam. During the bout, Lynch sustained a serious shoulder injury, but pushed through the pain to finish the match as planned. It is unknown when she will be back in action.
