Becky Lynch has her sights firmly set on Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40.
At Elimination Chamber, Becky Lynch defeated five other women to claim victory in the eponymous structure and guaranteed herself a shot at the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 40. Later in the night, Rhea Ripley won a hard-fought battle against Nia Jax to retain the title, setting The Nightmare on a collision course with The Man.
Lynch was watching the victory closely, and posted a video on social media as Ripley celebrated, warning her that the fireworks would be going off for The Man at The Showcase Of The Immortals.
“Enjoy your fireworks now Rhea, because they’re gonna be going off for me at WrestleMania. It’s official, Mami versus The Man.”

The two women have only met in singles action once before, back in 2019 on NXT’s 500th episode. On that occasion, there was no definitive winner as Shayna Baszler interfered, causing the bout to be thrown out.
Rhea Ripley Sends Her Own Message To Becky Lynch
Rhea Ripley gave an emotional interview following her main event victory at WWE Elimination Chamber where she described how special the night was for her. However, she also had some pointed words for Becky Lynch, warning her that her “nightmares are going to become a reality” at WrestleMania 40.
“I think it’s very fitting that it happens at ‘Mania, and I hope that Becky is ready, otherwise, her nightmares are going to become a reality and Mami’s gonna end up on top just like she always damn does.”
