Long before becoming wrestling megastars, WWE’s Becky Lynch and AEW’s Saraya worked on the independent scene, where Lynch briefly managed the young star.
Lynch made her pro wrestling debut in 2002 and soon began working all around the world in promotions including SuperGirls Wrestling, Shimmer Women’s Wrestling, and Fighting Spirit Federation.
It was in FSF in 2006 that Lynch found herself clashing with Saraya’s mother, who used the ring name Sweet Saraya at the time. The pair fought over the World Queens of Chaos Championship, with Lynch winning the title in Chouilly, France. Lynch held the title for several months before Sweet Saraya captured it at a World Association of Wrestling event in Norfolk, England that September.
September 2006 turned out to be a turning point in The Man’s career as she suffered a head injury during a match in Germany which left her with painful headaches as well as ear and vision problems. This resulted in the star taking a six-year absence from wrestling.
However, in 2011, Lynch made several appearances for Shimmer, managing the team of Sweet Saraya and her daughter, Britani Knight, better known today as AEW’s Saraya.
Becky Lynch and Saraya entered to Linkin Park
During this brief time, Lynch, Saraya, and her mother entered to Linkin Park’s first album track, Faint. Recently, Wrestling Observer’s JJ Williams posted a video of their entrance on social media.
It shows the pair performing some stunning dance moves on their way to the ring while Sweet Saraya stalked around the ring and confronted a fan she had taken a dislike to in the front row.

Since the video was posted, Saraya sent it to Becky Lynch, joking about them being “young ‘uns.” Lynch responded to the post with a gif saying “This is so us.”

These days, Becky Lynch is one of the top stars in WWE, and her husband, Seth Rollins, has tipped her to be the first woman in history to win the Royal Rumble twice.
Meanwhile, Saraya has recently returned to the ring after her own lengthy forced absence, making her AEW debut by defeating Dr. Britt Baker DMD at Full Gear in November 2022.
