Becky Lynch Provides Positive Injury Update

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch updated fans on her condition as she’s recovering from a shoulder injury suffered at SummerSlam.

SummerSlam opened with Becky Lynch going face to face with Bianca Belair in an attempt to regain her Raw Women’s Championship. Belair, on the other hand, sought to redeem herself after being beaten by Lynch at last year’s SummerSlam in just 26 seconds.

During the match fans noticed that Lynch was heavily favoring her shoulder, although it was unclear whether the injury was legitimate or she was simply “selling.” After the bout, doctors were seen attending to the Irish star as she left the ringside area, while her shoulder displayed clear bruising.

Belair emerged victorious from the bout, and the two women shared a hug afterward in a show of mutual respect before the champion was confronted by a returning Bayley along with Dakota Kai and Io Shirai, who is now known as IYO SKY. However, it was reported today that Becky Lynch suffered a separated shoulder during the bout and may require surgery. Lynch confirmed the injury on the following Raw before being brutally attacked backstage and hasn’t been seen on television since.

Becky Lynch recently went live on Instagram along with The Rock, Brian Gewirtz, and her husband Seth Rollins. During their conversation, The Rock asked how she was doing, and Lynch had a hopeful update for her fans.

“Oh good, yeah yeah yeah. I feel like I’ve gotten a bunch more mobility in it, because when it happened, it was so painful that I was like ‘Oh no, I’m gonna be out for a long long time. And now it’s healing up real quick, I’m feeling strong, I’m feeling good, so I’m hoping it won’t be much time at all.”

Lynch also confirmed during the Instagram Live that she was writing a book and hoped to be done in the next couple months.
