Becky Lynch Proud Of Recent WWE Match: “It’s One Of My Favourite”

Becky Lynch Proud Of Recent WWE Match:

Becky Lynch has fondly looked back on one of the most high-profile matches of her WWE career.

As soon as Trish Stratus struck The Man on Raw, many knew that a match between the two was inevitable. Unfortunately, the highly anticipated match between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus was delayed on multiple occasions. First removed from the SummerSlam card and the match on Raw ending in a no-contest, it appeared that the third time would be the charm as the two former Women’s Champions were scheduled to face off at Payback. To negate interference from Stratus’ ally Zoey Stark, the match would be contested inside a Steel Cage.

The match was highly praised when all was said and done and many felt that it was the greatest women’s Steel Cage match in WWE history. While appearing on The Casual Podcast with Brad Tate, Lynch felt privileged to get to work alongside one of her idols and is happy that the match lived up to expectations:

“I think it’s always going to be a little bit mind-blowing, growing up as a fan of somebody, that you get to work alongside them. It was incredible. We’ve said for many years that she’s one of the greatest of all time and she proved it through sheer work ethic and fearlessness. I am so proud of that cage match we had at Payback. I think it’s one of my favorite matches that I’ve ever had, and what an honor to be able to do that with Trish Stratus,”

Becky Lynch Hints At Competing Inside Another Steel Structure

Although Lynch has been a part of numerous stipulation matches and has set multiple firsts for the women’s division, there are still things to be accomplished for The Man. During the same interview, Becky Lynch stated that she has never competed inside an Elimination Chamber and teased that this might change in February.

H/t to Fightful.
