After almost four months on the shelf, due to an injury suffered at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch made her return to the ring inside WarGames at this year’s Survivor Series event.
Lynch was revealed as the final member of Bianca Belair’s team and led her side to victory inside the intimidating structure by pinning Dakota Kai after a diving leg drop through a table from the top of the cage.
Becky Lynch also came face-to-face with Rhea Ripley during the Survivor Series match, with fans now eagerly anticipating a one-on-one match between the two stars.
Becky Lynch On A Potential Match Against Rhea Ripley
During a recent ‘Q&A’, hosted by Alternative Sport’s Matthew Connell, Becky Lynch was asked about a potential match against Rhea Ripley and was quick to praise the Australian star:
“I think Rhea is one of the greatest female athletes that we’ve ever seen. I think she’s incredible. She is so young, so full of potential. I look at her and I go “well, that’s the future of the business and the business is in good hands.” She’s the future but I’m still the present. There can only be one Man around the place.”
Lynch also labelled a possible match against Ripley as ‘interesting’, especially considering her relationship with Rhea’s Judgment Day stablemate Finn Bálor:
“If I have to put her in her place then I’ll put her in her place. Plus she’s hanging around with somebody that I know pretty well. In fact, somebody that taught me nearly everything that I know. There’s an interesting dynamic there because she’s got Finn Bálor in her corner. I’ve known Finn for over 20 years, so it would be interesting to see what side he would take, you know, if push came to shove.”
Rhea Ripley recently appeared on WWE’s ‘The Bump’ and expressed her desire to face Lynch one-on-one and vowed to put ‘The Man’ down.
