Becky Lynch will not be attending SummerSlam.
On August 4th it was reported that Becky Lynch had been spotted in Detroit ahead of SummerSlam, despite her match with Trish Stratus being pulled from the event. There was of course the possibility she could have been there to support her husband Seth Rollins as he takes on Finn Balor. However, it seems that this isn’t the case.
In response to the story, Lynch wrote on social media that “Detroit has more palm trees and ocean than I remember,” with a photo of her on the beach. Although some fans didn’t appear to get the joke, and Lynch’s hint that she wasn’t in Detroit at all, Fightful Select confirmed that the star is at home in California.
Lynch is currently scheduled to appear on Raw on August 7th.
Why Was Trish Stratus Vs. Becky Lynch Pulled From SummerSlam?
Although she’s now got her feet up at home, The Man was originally scheduled for WWE’s biggest party of the summer. Lynch had been due to meet long-time rival Trish Stratus, in a match that has been in the works since the WWE Hall of Famer returned to the company back in February.
Despite these plans, the match was moved and confirmed for the August 14th episode of Raw.
It has since been reported that the match between Becky Lynch and Stratus was pushed back due to time constraints at SummerSlam. A move that seemingly hasn’t gone down well with either woman or fans online.
