Becky Lynch Not Close To WWE Return

Becky Lynch entrance

Becky Lynch hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair at SummerSlam in Nashville. During the match Lynch sustained a shoulder injury and was written off television on the following episode of Monday Night Raw.

At the time there were varying reports about the severity of the injury with WWE hoping that the star would be able to avoid undergoing surgery. The company is already without Cody Rhodes for a number of months after he also suffered a serious injury.

The Is No Timetable On Becky Lynch’s Return

However, in recent weeks there were rumours that the star was scheduled to be back in September, while there were reports that she was expected to return “soon.” This came after Lynch was backstage at the October 3rd edition of Monday Night Raw.

Despite this a fresh update from Fightful Select has offered a further update on the situation. The report claims that Lynch was never slated to be back in action in September despite the speculation.

The hope was that the former Raw Women’s Champion wouldn’t need surgery and a period of rehab would be a preferred method of treatment. As of early September it was reportedly stated by those within WWE that doctors and physical therapists had told the star that it would be “at least a couple of months” before she could “get near a ring.” There remains no definitive timetable for her return.

Those within WWE are optimistic that Lynch will be back before the end of the year, but nothing guaranteed.

With Becky Lynch out of the picture, Bianca Belair has continued to reign supreme over the Raw women’s division feuding with Bayley and Damage CTRL. Belair recently defended her Raw Women’s Title against Bayley at Extreme Rules is a Ladder Match.

Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY arrived back in WWE at SummerSlam staring down Belair and Lynch. On the following episode of Raw it was the trio who attacked Lynch in the storyline which helped write her off television.
