Becky Lynch will not be in action on the upcoming episode of WWE Raw.
As reported by Fightful Select, the NXT Women’s Champion has not been cleared to compete following the events that took place at the No Mercy Premium Live Event, where Becky Lynch suffered an elbow laceration that required 11 stitches. The Man would post a photo of the injury afterwards, highlighting how deep the cut is.
Lynch was due to defend the title on the October 2nd episode of Raw against Tegan Nox, who had been granted the right to be next in line to face whoever came out of No Mercy the victor after defeating Natalya on Raw. There were hopes that The Man would be able to recover in time for the show, but right now this is “not on the cards.” It is currently unknown when Lynch will be allowed to wrestle again.
What Happened To Becky Lynch At NXT No Mercy?
Following Becky Lynch defeating Tiffany Stratton to become the new NXT Women’s Champion on an episode of the weekly show, Stratton faced Lynch in a rematch at the PLE that was competed under Extreme Rules. Both competitors utilised the no-disqualifications to their advantage right from the off, with weapons being used almost non-stop throughout the match including a barbed wire bat and a collection of Barbie dolls.
It is unknown exactly when the laceration occurred in the match as it did not affect the main event and there were no visible attempts to try and treat the wound at ringside.
Inside The Ropes would like to wish Becky Lynch a full and speedy recovery.
