A new report has offered a huge update on the injury status of Becky Lynch, noting that the star may require surgery.
At SummerSlam Becky Lynch and Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair went to war one more time. The pair’s rivalry began a year ago at the same event, and has resulted in a number of acclaimed matches and career highlights for both women.
During the match fans noticed that Lynch was heavily favouring her shoulder, although it was unclear whether the injury was legitimate or she was simply “selling.” After the bout, doctors were seen attending to the Irish star as she left the ringside area, while her shoulder displayed clear bruising.
A new report from Fightful Select has now confirmed that Lynch separated her shoulder during the match but battled through the pain to the planned finish. Despite the injury, it is unclear as to what the next steps are, but it has affected creative to “some degree.”
At present there is no timetable for the return of Big Time Becks and it’s 50/50 on her possibly needing surgery to fix the issue. Lynch will now miss a period of ring time, but it is unclear how much.

After the Raw Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam Bayley made her return to WWE television for the first time in over a year but the Role Model did not come alone. Dakota Kai soon joined her despite being released in April and they were also joined by Io Shirai who is now named Iyo Sky.
The three women confronted Belair but The EST of WWE was surprised as anyone when Lynch stood alongside her to face down the trio.
