Becky Lynch’s first year as part of WWE’s main roster was hugely successful.
She debuted on the 13th of July, 2015 edition of Monday Night Raw alongside Charlotte and Sasha Banks in the wake of what was dubbed “The Women’s Revolution.” Within weeks, Lynch found herself defeating the likes of the Bella Twins, Team B.A.D and others.
However, there is one controversial moment in Becky Lynch‘s career around this time that WWE has chosen to erase from the history books.
Becky Lynch Once Kissed A WWE Legend On-Screen Before WWE Later Edited It Out
Six months into her first year on the WWE main roster, Becky Lynch challenged Charlotte Flair for the Divas Championship at the 2016 Royal Rumble.
It wasn’t the excellent in-ring action of the eleven-minute bout which made headlines, however. Instead, it was a highly questionable action outside the ring by Charlotte’s father, Ric Flair, who pulled Becky Lynch in for a kiss in front of the 15,000+ fans in attendance.
Footage of the edited version can be found below, with the original footage no longer showing on the WWE Network.

Flair apologised to Lynch at Raw’s 30th-anniversary show. However, the apology was regarding a different matter, with Flair choosing to apologise to Lynch regarding a trademark dispute from a few years ago. He would mention the below on his “To Be The Man” podcast.
“It started out with me and Hunter talking for about an hour, which is a private discussion, but resolving a lot of issues that have been lingering for a couple years, and then I apologized to Becky Lynch. I walked up to her and said, ‘May I speak with you for a minute’, and I said, ‘I’m sorry that this got to where it is.’ I went over and shook Seth Rollins hand and I said, ‘I’m going to apologize to your wife.”
“I’ve just decided that, you know, it all comes with the documentary. Sometimes you get so wrapped up in things that you just forget, and you say it so many times for so many years. Actually, the whole ‘The Man’ trademark was decided by someone besides she and I. It’s not that as much as the money that was involved in it which the company reaps the better part of it anyway.”
Becky Lynch put in a strong performance at yesterday’s 2023 Royal Rumble. “The Man” would enter at #15 and last ten minutes and forty-five seconds, successfully eliminating Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky, before being removed from the match by Bayley herself.
