Becky Lynch doesn’t take kindly to being compared to Hulk Hogan.
At WrestleMania 41, Becky Lynch made a surprise return to WWE, capturing the Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Lyra Valkyria in a victory over Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan. The duo’s celebration was short-lived, however, as Rodriguez and Morgan recaptured the title the next night on Raw. After the match, Lynch launched a vicious attack on Valkyria, leading to the phrase “Becky Hogan” trending on social media.
Speaking on the latest edition of the Raw Recap, Lynch spoke out about being compared to The Hulkster, making it clear that she doesn’t appreciate the comparisons to WWE Hall of Famer.
“I wear the scars of what I’ve done on my body. I wear them with pride because of all I’ve given back. And these people go around, they compare me to the scummiest person on Earth after everything I’ve done, after everything that I’ve done for them? I’m supposed to sit here and take it.”
“Why Am I Supposed To Move Over?” – Becky Lynch
Also on the Raw Recap, Becky Lynch addressed criticism that she should step aside and let younger talent shine in the spotlight of WWE.
“Look at the men’s (division.) Who you got that’s hot and young over there? No, you’ve got a bunch of old lads. And nobody’s saying nothing. Nobody’s saying, ‘Move over CM Punk, move over Seth Rollins’. Nobody’s saying that but they’ll say it to me. So, who’s the bad guy? Why am I supposed to move over?”
Lynch and Valkyria are set for singles action at Backlash with the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line.
