Becky Lynch Details Recent Change To Her Attitude Backstage In WWE

Becky Lynch cuts a promo

Becky Lynch has revealed she’s taken a step back from her previously exhausting approach to WWE creative.

It’s no secret that as WWE stars rise to the top of the company, they get to play an increasing role in their own storylines. This dynamic has existed for decades and has been a feature of the careers of the likes of Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Brock Lesnar, and more.

So it’s perhaps no surprise that as she became of the biggest names in the entire industry, Becky Lynch took on the same status. However, speaking to Cosmopolitan, the star revealed that while she still has input into her storylines, she’s recently taken a step back from fighting to constantly try and get her own way.

“I have a good amount of input into my storylines. I think in recent months, I’ve changed my outlook on how I approach my creative process,” she said. “I used to get so hung up on my ideas and ‘I want my ideas to go exactly my way,’ and if they didn’t go my way, I would be in a bad mood all day, and I’d let everybody know about it. I’d fight, and I’d fight, and I’d fight, and then if it didn’t go my way, then I’d still be fighting until I came back through the curtain.”

Lynch explained that her previous approach took up a lot of energy, but now she focuses on making the most of what she’s given and putting on the best performance possible.

“That takes up a lot of energy,” Becky continued. “Instead of doing that, now, I will take whatever creative is given to me, and I will say okay, well whether I like this or not. ‘Can we change this? Okay, we can’t. Great. How do I make this the best it can possibly be?’ So that is my creative process now is kind of giving in to, ‘it’s not my company, it’s not my sandbox.’ My job is to make it as good as possible and get the fans and the people to care as much as possible.”

Becky Lynch’s Feud With Trish Stratus To Continue

Becky Lynch was most recently in action in the women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match, and although the star didn’t win, she ensured that her rival Trish Stratus didn’t either. After hitting a Man-Handle Slam on Stratus onto a ladder, Lynch headed up a ladder in the ring only to be met by Bayley and then Iyo Sky.

In one of the more innovative moves seen in a Money In The Bank match in recent years, Sky used handcuffs that were already attached to Lynch to handcuff her to Bayley, meaning she was free to climb up and grab the briefcase.

It has since been reported that the rivalry between Lynch and Stratus will continue with the pair meeting at SummerSlam.
