Becky Lynch Reportedly Dealing With “Legitimate Injury”

A new report has claimed that Becky Lynch is dealing with a “legitimate injury” after the star herself said she’d suffered a fractured voice box at a live event.

Ahead of the March 7th episode of Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch took to social media to reveal that she wouldn’t be in attendance. The Raw Women’s Champion claimed that she had suffered a fractured voice box at the hands of her rival Bianca Belair.

Lynch shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed with the following message.

“Unfortunately I will not be at #WWERaw tonight. Not only did Bianca whip me mercilessly with the illegal weapon that is her hair last week, but last night in the main event of #WWEAllentown she tried to take away my biggest weapon, the spoken word, by fracturing my voice box.”

Despite the claims from Lynch, the reports of an injury were met with some scepticism by fans as wrestling is very rarely straightforward. However, it has now been suggested that ‘Becky Biceps’ is dealing with a legitimate injury.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Lynch is legitimately hurt and will be out of action for around two weeks. This means that the Raw Women’s Champion will be back to full fitness in plenty of time for her WrestleMania showdown with Bianca Belair.

At time of writing it is unclear whether the injury is the fracture as Lynch described, or a separate issue.

After earlier detailing her injury, Lynch posted a short video clip where she cut a promo on Belair, saying that she had made her way to Raw before the end of the show in search of her rival. The Irishwoman said that by the time she arrived, Belair had run away scared, but she wouldn’t be able to do the same at WrestleMania.
