Becky Lynch has responded to claims from Charlotte Flair that gender is an issue with how she is perceived and says no one else in WWE acts like Flair.
Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch will face each other one on one at the upcoming Survivor Series. As the respective women’s champions of their brands, the Champion vs. Champion bout will be part of the bigger battle for brand supremacy that has become a staple of WWE’s November spectacular.
On Raw, Lynch let her feelings towards Charlott Flair be known, discussing the two women’s time as friends, and said that being friends with Flair came with “conditions.” Big Time Becks then let loose with her prediction for Survivor Series as she threatened to “beat the p*ss” out of the SmackDown Women’s Champion. A claim that made Flair’s father and WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair react on social media.
In an interview with BT Sport, Charlotte Flair asserted that she is treated differently as a woman for wanting to remain a dominant force in pro wrestling:
“If I was a man would it rub people the wrong way? No one looks at a man and goes, ‘why does he want to be the world champion again when he’s been on top all these years?’ Is it because I’m a woman and have done it all and we have a smaller division?”
“Charlotte is difficult? Because I stand up for what I believe in? That makes me difficult? If I was a man, I’d have big balls. I know how good I am. Man or woman, I am the best.”
Becky Lynch has responded to Flair’s claims and says gender isn’t the issue at hand:
“No one on our roster acts like this, man or woman. Gender ain’t the issue here.”
