Bea Priestley formerly of All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling could very well be headed to NXT UK according to new reports.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has reported that even though nothing has been confirmed by WWE, and won’t be until they announce it, the Priestley is “almost surely” headed to NXT UK.
Priestley began her wrestling career in New Zealand before moving to the country of her birth, England, to further her career. She competed for several years for PROGRESS Wrestling where she faced off with current NXT UK stars Isla Dawn and Jinny Couture.
Bea Priestley then made her debut for Stardom in Japan in October of 2017. While in Stardom she held the Goddess of Stardom Championship twice under the banner of Oedo Tai, teaming with Jamie Hayter and then Konami. Priestley held the World Of Stardom Championship after defeating Kagetsu in May 2019. She held the title for six months before being dethroned by Mayu Iwatani.
Priestley took part in the short-lived UK revival of World Of Sport Wrestling, alongside her boyfriend and current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Will Ospreay. During the live tour of WOS shows Priestley won and then lost the WOS Women’s Title to another now-NXT UK star, Piper Niven, then known as Viper.
The 25-year-old made her debut for AEW in July 2019 teaming with Shoko Nakajima during the Fight For The Fallen event. Priestley and Nakajima defeated current number one contender Dr. Britt Baker and her partner, the first AEW Women’s Champion, Riho. Priestley’s last match in the company was another tag team affair on AEW Dynamite. This time she teamed with Nyla Rose to defeat Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander. In August of 2020, it was announced that Priestley had been released from her AEW contract.
Priestley then made several appearances in NJPW at the side of her boyfriend and the leader of the United Empire, Will Ospreay.
