Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley, has called out Peyton Royce after their interaction at Survivor Series.
On November 22, ‘The Role Model’ and audience were shocked when Royce pinned Bayley to eliminate her from the Women’s Traditional Survivor Series Match. Many had expected the self proclaimed captain to make it to the end of the bout which was eventually won by Lana.
Now, Bayley has taken aim at the Australian during her appearance on Table Talk with D-Von where she talked about her Survivor Series defeat and actually praised Royce for what she was able to do:
“I have always seen something in her. When she first started, Peyton and Billie Kay actually lived with me for the first month when they moved to America because it’s hard, when they’re coming all the way from Australia, it’s hard to find an apartment, it’s hard to get a car, it’s hard to get their bills.
[Peyton] was awesome, super sweet, and once I saw her get in the ring, I was like, ‘Woah, dude. You’re incredible.’ I’ve always had an eye for her, she’s so incredible. She just hasn’t had the time to really show that, even when The Iiconics were the tag team champions. And she just hasn’t had the spotlight yet, and it kills me that it hasn’t happened yet. It was an honor to be in the ring with her, and I wanted to get in the ring with her. I would love to one day get in the ring and have a one-on-one pay-per-view match with Peyton Royce, and I guess I need to redeem myself from Survivor Series.”
Bayley and Royce have history. Away from Survivor Series, it was Royce and Billie Kay who dethroned Bayley and Sasha Banks of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 35.
Currently, Bayley is looking to move on from her loss of the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship by beginning a feud with Bianca Belair on the blue brand.
