Bayley has been announced as an upcoming guest on Steve Austin’s ‘Broken Skull Sessions’, making her the first female to appear on the show.
It was announced Bayley would be appearing by WWE Network News. According to the site, she will appear on January 10th on WWE Network. Not only will this mark the first female guest on the show, but Bayley’s appearance marks only the second time a full time active WWE performer has been a guest of ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’.
Drew McIntyre is the only other active superstar to appear, whilst previous guests have included retired legends such as Bret Hart, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair and The Undertaker, the latter appearing twice.
Bayley has previously conversed with Stone Cold in a 2017 interview on his now defunct podcast, ‘The Steve Austin Show’. At this time ‘The Role Model’ had already achieved NXT and Raw Women’s Championships, and was extremely popular amongst a younger audience as a ‘hugger’, but felt she was at a “weird stage” of her career:
“I guess it’s time to evolve, because I’ve been doing what I’ve been doing for the past four years. But you always need to evolve, and I plan on doing this for a really long time so I know it needs to go, just like in different directions, and maybe a different attitude.”
Since this initial interview with Austin, Bayley turned heel and went on to capture the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Women’s Tag Team Championships and rank number 1 in PWI’s ‘Women’s 100’ in 2020.
Bayley’s appearance on ‘Broken Skull Sessions’ marks the first episode of the show in 2021. At this time, no further guests have been announced.
