Bayley Sparks Confusion On Social Media With Cryptic Post

Bayley

At WrestleMania 39, Bayley is set to take part in a huge 6-Woman Tag Team match which will see her Damage CTRL group take on Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus.

This made it all the more confusing for fans as the Role Model took to social media to post a picture of herself backstage at WrestleMania 35 with one of the Women’s Tag Team Championships saying simply “…I’m sorry.”

The tweet has left fans concerned for the leader of Damage CTRL and wondering what she is apologising for.

“You have no need to apologise.”

“Role Models need not apologize!!!!!!”

“what’s going on?? you have nothing to apologize for, keep fighting like you always have”

The tweet came around the same time that news broke that the Women’s Tag Team Championships are no longer scheduled to be defended at WrestleMania.

As Bayley is one of the women who pushed for the creation of the titles, it’s possible that her tweet is related to the way they have been utilised since she and Sasha Banks – now known as Mercedes Mone – were crowned as the inaugural champs back in 2019.

Original plans for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 39 scrapped

It was reported earlier in March that Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler were set to challenge the current Women’s Tag Champs, Becky Lynch and Lita for the titles at WrestleMania. This would seemingly have seen Baszler and Rousey win before going on to have a lengthy reign through the spring and into summer.

It was later revealed that Rousey is dealing with a hairline fracture in her arm, although she is still expected to appear on the Grandest Stage Of Them All. Despite Rousey still being scheduled for the show, it has been reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the tag match has now been scrapped.
