Bayley Set For WWE Women’s Title Defence At Clash At The Castle

Bayley holding up WWE Women's Championship

Bayley‘s next challenger for the WWE Women’s Championship has been confirmed.

At WrestleMania 40, the star defeated her former Damage CTRL teammate IYO SKY to capture the Women’s Championship. Since then, the Role Model has successfully defended the title against the likes of Naomi and Tiffany Stratton.

In the past few weeks, the star has begun a rivalry with Chelsea Green and her partner Piper Niven. On the May 24th edition of SmackDown, she made short work of Green, defeating her with a Roseplant. After the match, though, Niven launched a brutal assault on the champion, hitting multiple big slams to leave her lying in the middle of the ring.

On May 31st, the Women’s Champion was making her way out to the ring for the coronation of Nia Jax as Queen of the Ring when Niven & Green attacked her once again. Green made it clear that Niven was coming for the title, and later in the night, the pair defeated the champion and Naomi.

The match has now been made official, and Piper Niven will challenge the champion for the Women’s Title in her home country of Scotland at Clash At The Castle.

Niven isn’t the only Scottish star looking for gold in Glasgow as Drew McIntyre will challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Title at the event.

Bayley Wants To Face AEW Original

Bayley has named an AEW original as the star she would want to face outside of WWE. She praised Kris Statlander for her athleticism and compared her to Rhea Ripley, saying the former TBS Champion seemed like the kind of wrestler who could “do everything.”

Looking back on her WrestleMania 40 triumph, Bayley did not share the same opinion as most.

Recently Bayley expressed her desires for an intergender match with TNA stars.
