If there is one person who knows a thing or two about successfully transitioning from NXT to the main roster, it is Bayley.
Bayley was a part of the Four Horsewomen of NXT alongside Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks. The quartette revolutionised women’s wrestling in the company and kickstarted the “Women’s Revolution”.
During her time in NXT, Bayley captured the Women’s Championship before jumping to the main roster and becoming the first female Grand Slam Champion.
Despite all her success on Raw and SmackDown, NXT still remains on her radar. She is currently the leader of Damage CTRL. A heel trio created by the Role Model featuring two of NXT’s best exports, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai.
The faction has been something she wanted to form for years. She recently revealed that while she always wanted Dakota Kai in the group, she also wanted Peyton Royce and Tegan Nox involved.
Now, in a recent interview with Dr Beau Hightower Bayley revealed NXT stars she believes have breakout potential.
“Carmelo Hayes is one of the guys I would definitely say you can bet money on that he’s gonna be a big star and be on WrestleMania and SummerSlam, and all the big shows, and be a champion for years to come.
I love Pretty Deadly, I think they’re super entertaining. They’re from the UK so bring a unique style and perspective to what we do.
For the girls, I’m just like a huge momma, I just love all — well not all of them,” she said with a cackle. “Indi Hartwell, Cora Jade, Roxanne Perez, Zoey Stark is super talented. Yeah, there’s a few.”
Bayley and Damage CTRL Have A Huge Match At WrestleMania 39
A mega-match going down at WrestleMania is the six-woman tag team match between Women’s Tag Team Champions Becky Lynch and Lita alongside Hall of Famer Trish Stratus taking on the trio of Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY known as Damage CTRL.
The clash came about when Stratus assisted the new champions to capture the titles from Kai and SKY by stopping their leader from interfering in the match. The following week the heel trio confronted the new champions and Stratus. In a heated back-and-forth conversation, Stratus declared she was coming out of retirement to team with Lita and Lynch to face Damage CRTL in a big-time tag team match last WrestleMania 39.
