Bayley is reportedly inching ever closer to an in-ring return, and could be back in action within the next month.

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley has been out of the ring since early July 2021 with a serious knee injury. However, the star could be back on television very soon.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider notes that Bayley is expected to return “within the next month or so,” although this will now likely be after WrestleMania 38. The extravaganza is set to take place on April 2nd and 3rd, in Dallas, Texas.

The star recently took to social media to thank former WWE Superstar Paige, for being her opponent for her first-ever televised match on the March 20th, 2013 episode of NXT.

Bayley signed with WWE in late 2012, making her NXT debut in January of the following year. She would later become known as one of the Four Horsewoman of WWE alongside Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.

While appearing on the black and gold brand, Bayley featured in a number of acclaimed matches including a match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015, where she defeated Sasha Banks to win the NXT Women’s Championship.

The star arrived on the main roster the following year, going on to become WWE’s first Women’s Triple Crown Champion. Alongside Banks, The Role Model become one half of the first ever Women’s Tag Team Champions in 2019.

Heading into Money In The Bank 2021, Bayley had been set to meet Belair in an “I Quit” match, but sustained an injury during a training session. It was later reported that the former NXT star had sustained a torn ACL while performing a chain wrestling drill.

At the time it was suggested that Bayley would be out of action for around nine months, a timescale which would see her return to action in April.
