Bayley Provides Major Injury Update

By Craig Ballantyne. Published 12th December 2021.

Bayley has provided a positive new update on the status of the knee injury which has left her sidelined for several months.

Back in July 2021, Bayley suffered a torn ACL during a training session at the WWE Performance Center ahead of WWE’s retunr to live touring.

At the time, Fightful reported that ‘The Role Model’ was chain wrestling as part of the training session when her knee ‘popped’. It was expected that she would be out of action for up to nine months.

Speaking to fans on Instagram Live recently, Bayley gave an update on her condition, saying that she was doing great, and a return was only a matter of time.

“Anyway, people are asking how my knee is. So, my knee is doing great, my leg’s doing great, my ankle’s doing great, my shin is doing great, my hip is doing great, my mind is doing great… so, I mean it’s only a matter of time.”

She went on to say that she wouldn’t give an exact date, but she would be “coming back soon”.

I’m not gonna tell you when, and I don’t want all these idiots watching to know when, but I’m gonna be coming back soon, maybe, you know… you better be ready, better be ready.”

Before being injured, Bayley was due to take on Bianca Belair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at Money In The Bank. Since then, Belair lost the title to a returning Becky Lynch at SummerSlam, so it remains to be seen if Bayley will still get her shot when she does come back.
