Bayley has been dropping hints about her injury status on social media.

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley has been out of action since suffering a torn ACL while training for her scheduled I Quit match against Bianca Belair at Money in the Bank back in July 2021. The injury was expected to keep the Role Model out of action for nine months, a time frame that has long since passed.

The star has been teasing fans on social media for months with hints of a return, with the latest tease coming as recently as June 8th. However, recent posts indicate that she’s still dealing with the knee injury, placing rumors of her return at this year’s Money in the Bank in doubt.

NXT’s Cora Jade took to social media to wish the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion a happy birthday, and Bayley replied on June 23rd to say thank you and to please respect her as she’s dealing with a bad knee.

“Thanks, suga mama. PS – Please respect me, I am injured with a B.A.K.”

She had a similar response to Indi Hartwell, who’d used “respect the injured” in her tweet to the birthday girl on the 15th.

“Thanks, my injury won’t sloan me down.”

Because she was out with injury during the most recent WWE Draft, Bayley does not currently belong to either Raw or SmackDown. With Money in the Bank 2022 on the horizon, many fans have speculated that she may be the final entrant in the women’s Money in the Bank match, but it appears the Role Model is attempting to cast doubt with her latest series of tweets.
