Bayley Comments On “Extreme Struggle” That Comes With The Women’s Tag Team Titles

WWE Stars Sasha Banks & Bayley Stand Beside AEW Stars FTR with Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler

Bayley will once again have the chance to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles on the May 29th episode of Raw.

The star has a lengthy history with the gold going back to February 2019 when she and best friend Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone) became the inaugural champions at Elimination Chamber.

The pair controversially lost the titles at WrestleMania 35 before regaining them in May 2020. While Mone was in possession of the gold when she walked out of WWE in May 2022 alongside tag team partner Trinity. (Naomi).

The titles have earned a reputation for being cursed with controversy and injury surrounding them since their inception. This bad luck came to the fore once again on May 19th when it was announced that the titles were now vacant after Liv Morgan suffered an injury.

Posting on Twitter in reaction to the news that she will be taking part in a Fatal-Four-Way Match for the gold with Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Raquel Rodriguez and a mystery partner, and Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green, Bayley said there was magic waiting.

“These titles have been through A LOT. The ones who’ve held them know the pride and sometimes the extreme struggle that comes with them. But we keep fighting for them, we take a stand for them. Through injuries, break ups and hopeful opportunities…..there’s magic in there waiting”

Bayley Confirms Injury To Dakota Kai

Following the announcement on the future of the titles, Bayley confronted Raquel Rodriguez backstage flanked by Iyo Sky. The star revealed that Dakota Kai had also suffered an injury in the same match as Liv Morgan, although there is no word on the legitimacy of the injury.

Liv Morgan suffered an injury in a match against Damage CTRL on the May 12th episode of SmackDown. This resulted in her being pulled from a planned title defence on Raw.

Ar time of writing it is unclear how long Morgan will be out of action.
