The Women’s Royal Rumble match is slowly taking shape as Bayley & Bianca Belair affirmed their entries into the Rumble during Friday night’s edition of SmackDown!
The ‘EST of WWE’ had a backstage interview in which she declared for the match, only to be interrupted by Bayley who then immediately made her own declaration for the match.
There was a short bicker between the two regarding Bianca’s performance in last year’s Royal Rumble (in which she eliminated 8 other women) versus Bayley who did not appear in the match whatsoever. Bayley reminded Belair that she was the champion at the time so had no need to enter but Belair bit back by asking the former ‘Hugger’ about her current lack of championship gold before strutting away, leaving their apparent issues on hold for the time being.
What’s going to happen when these two cross paths in the #RoyalRumble? 👀

There has been some growing tension between the pair over the past month or so on SmackDown. Both women have been clashing both backstage and in the ring – a feud sparked from Team SmackDown’s loss at Survivor Series back in November. Their last encounter saw Bayley hand Belair her first singles loss in almost 10 months, pinning her with the Rose Plant in 10:11 on the blue brand’s December 18th episode.
Recently, both Belair & Bayley have suffered questionable defeats on SmackDown, however, the two women will now be turning their attention away from one other to focus on the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV.
The two will join Nia Jax and Charlotte Flair from RAW who had already confirmed as official entrants to the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble taking place at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL on Sunday, January 31 – which will air live on the WWE Network.
We can expect more big names to announce their entry into the marquee match as the Royal Rumble pay-per-view draws ever closer.
