In her WWE Chronicle documentary which is available to view now on the WWE Network, WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley baited Sasha Banks ahead of their Hell in a Cell Match tonight.
The almost thirty minute offering which looks at Bayley’s preparation for arguably the biggest match of her career, sees the champion talk at length about her time in the business so far, the stipulation matches she’s taken part in before October 25 and take a sly shot at her foe’s success in her past two Hell in a Cell Matches:
“Hell in a Cell is freaking huge. I remember seeing those as a kid on TV and just being in awe. I’ve never been inside Hell in a Cell, but I’ve always wanted to. I’m not too scared just yet. I feel good. It’s something I can mark off my little list that I’ve been able to do. Iron Man Match, Elimination Chamber Matches, Kendo Stick Match, all this weird stuff but Hell in a Cell is the big one and there’s only been two others in the women’s division and Mercedes [Sasha Banks] has been in both of them. She lost them both though, you know? I want this to be the best one. It is going to be the best one. I don’t care where it is on the show. I don’t care if it’s the opening match, the main event, third match or fourth match. I don’t care where it is, it’s going to be the best Hell in a Cell. She’s just going to lose again.”
Bayley turned on her faux best friend on the September 4 Friday Night SmackDown after the pair had failed to reclaim their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
The betrayal initiated a blood feud which has included scathing promos, sneak attacks and attempted career assassination.
It came full circle this past Friday when Sasha Banks wrapped a steel chair around the champion’s head and locked in her Bank Statement in order to force ‘The Role Model’ to sign the contract to meet her inside the devil’s playground.
On day 380 of her historic reign, Bayley will defend the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks inside Hell in a Cell tonight.
