Former WWE Champion Batista has stated that he’d love to see AEW star CM Punk join up with Edge’s Judgment Day group in WWE.
The Judgment Day began to take shape at WrestleMania 38 when a changed Edge went one-on-one with AJ Styles. During the closing moments of the match, Damian Priest made his presence felt at ringside distracting Styles long enough for Edge to connect with a wicked spear for the win.
The two men stood together and have done ever since on Raw, dealing with the twin threat of AJ Styles and Finn Balor. At WrestleMania Backlash, the WWE Hall Of Famer went one-on-one with Styles once again and with Balor neutralising Priest, it was a hooded figure that helped Edge once again pick up the win. The hooded figure then revealed themselves to be former Raw Women’s Champion, Rhea Ripley.
WWE’s social media account asked fans who they’d like to potentially see join The Judgment Day as the group’s fourth member. Someone very familiar with being involved in a successful wrestling faction chimed in, as Evolution’s animal Batista commented with the unlikely suggestion of current AEW World Championship number one contender, CM Punk:
“In a perfect world?! CM Punk! 🔥”
CM Punk will be hoping he gives Hangman Adam Page his own day of reckoning when the two collide for the first time with the AEW World Title on the line at Double Or Nothing.
