Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Batista, has shot down any hopes of a feature film collaboration with John Cena in the future.
Following an appearance at the 2021 Super Bowl event in which he appeared in a commercial for Rocket Mortgage alongside Tracy Morgan and Liza Koshy, ‘The Animal’ received a tweet from fan who orated his wish to see the powerhouse and John Cena appear in a buddy movie together.
Taking to Twitter, the former Evolution member responded to the request while at the same time shooting down the devotee’s hopes of the collaboration ever happening:

While both stars have made lives and careers for themselves outside of the squared circle, the pair also have a history between the ropes which dates back to the famous botched finale of the 2005 Royal Rumble. From there, the duo went to war at SummerSlam 2008, WrestleMania 26 and WWE Over the Limit 2010 to name just a few of their clashes.
Outside of the industry, Batista – under his real name Dave Bautista – has appeared in feature films My Spy, Blade Runner 2049, Final Score and his biggest role to date as Drax the Destroyer in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Batista will be seen in 2021 in the Hollywood blockbuster Dune, Army of the Dead and will reprise the role of Drax in Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder following his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
As for John Cena, the former WWE Champion was also on show at the 2021 Super Bowl in a commercial for Mountain Dew and trailer for his upcoming F9 release. He is currently filming the HBO Max television series, Peacemaker, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which is a spin-off of The Suicide Squad where Cena played the character of the same name.
