Baron Corbin Names Roman Reigns Alongside Two Legendary Stars As The Smartest In The Locker Room

Roman Reigns punches Baron Corbin at WWE Royal Rumble 2020

Now over 800 days into his reign as WWE Universal Champion, which he holds alongside the WWE Championship, Roman Reigns has proven himself over the past two years as a serious draw for the sports entertainment giant. His ‘Tribal Chief’ persona has breathed new life onto his career, making every movement, segment, and match mean something.

This, according to Baron Corbin, is why the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is one of the wisest guys currently in the WWE locker room. The former Mr. Money in the Bank made the comments during a Locker Room Dirt segment on WWE’s TikTok, naming Reigns, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles as the three smartest WWE Superstars:

“Bunch of idiots around. I think Randy Orton’s up there, Randy Orton is extremely smart, AJ [Styles] is very, very smart. Roman Reigns, another smart guy. The guys get the job done, and they’re having success in and out of wrestling.”

Roman Reigns Has The Advantage Over Baron Corbin

Though they haven’t wrestled one-on-one in almost three years, Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin are no strangers to each other, having wrestled six singles matches during their joint WWE tenure. Reigns has the advantage over Corbin in this regard, winning four of the bouts, whereas Corbin – under his King Corbin guise – only holds two victories.

His two wins came on a November 2019 Friday Night SmackDown and at that December’s Tables, Ladders, and Chairs premium live event, besting Roman in a namesake match. As for ‘The Head of the Table’, he defeated Corbin on two Monday Night Raw broadcasts in 2018, the latter of which saw him retain the Universal Championship. He subsequently felled ‘The Lone Wolf’ in Falls Count Anywhere and Steel Cage matches at the 2020 Royal Rumble and Super ShowDown, respectively.

Outside of singles bouts, Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin last collided on the September 18, 2020 SmackDown. Reigns and Jey Uso would best Corbin and Sheamus in a Samoan Street Fight.
