A Hall of Fame-worthy WWE tag team is set to officially reunite this October to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their official formation!
Though they’d teamed up in the months prior, 13 October 1997 marked the official birth of D-Generation X, as Shawn Michaels officially labelled the partnership of himself and Triple H. Soon-to-be joined by some of the Attitude Era greats, the acclaimed group is one of the most famous in WWE history.
That history is due to be celebrated on Monday Night Raw’s 10 October broadcast, with Barclays Center advertising a 25th anniversary celebration for the evening featuring Triple H and Shawn Michaels. There’s no word officially on what WWE does in store, though an on-screen skit is almost certain to occur with DX involved.

This will mark Triple H’s first televised appearance since taking over creative in lieu of Vince McMahon’s departure, and his first appearance in general since he left his boots in the ring at WrestleMania 38. Shawn Michaels, meanwhile, has made a couple of appearances in NXT.
Flanked by the likes of The New Age Outlaws, X-Pac, and the late Chyna throughout the Attitude Era, DX proved so popular that WWE revived the gimmick for ‘The Game’ and ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ from 2006 to 2007, and again from 2009 to 2010, the latter of which saw them capture the Unified WWE Tag Team Championships.
