Banned WWE Word Shockingly Used On Live Programming

WWE champion suddenly attacked by forgotten star

TNA’s Mike Santana and Joe Hendry joined WWE’s Trick Williams at NXT The Great American Bash: Atlanta for a contract signing, with the brand’s general manager, Ava, overseeing the segment. A Triple Threat match is official for TNA Slammiversary, scheduled for July 20.

Mike Santana Says ‘Pro Wrestling’ at WWE Show

When former WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon ruled the roost, he never allowed some things to fly on live television. This includes several banned words, like “pro wrestling” and “professional wrestling/wreslters.” McMahon was never a fan of using certain terms, partly because of how dirt sheets potentially misinterpret them, maintaining a brand image and a certain level of decorum, and avoiding potentially offensive or controversial language.

In the case of “professional wrestling/wrestlers,” the generally used term instead is “sports entertainment.” At The Great American Bash, during the contract signing segment, Santana did not hesitate to use the term. It’s worth noting that since McMahon stepped down, a lot of the previously strongly imposed rules have been relaxed.
