Fresh off the back of winning the WWE 24/7 Championship on Monday Night Raw, Bad Bunny performed on Saturday Night Live sporting his newly won belt.
The Puerto Rican star performed an acoustic rendition of ‘Te Deseo lo Mejor’ from his latest album El Último Tour Del Mundo with the title prominently draped over his leg as he sang on a blue-lit staircase.
WWE praised the singers performance on their Official Twitter feed, commenting that he along with the championship belt “look good on the SNL stage!”
The Grammy nominated artist also teamed up with Rosalía to perform their new single ‘La Noche de Anoche’. While the show was hosted by Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page.
After making his WWE ‘debut’ at the Royal Rumble, performing hit single ‘Booker T’ alongside the WWE Hall of Famer, Bad Bunny has become a staple of RAW, aligning with former NXT Superstar Damian Priest. He would
win the 24/7 Title after pinning Akira Tozawa, moments after Tozawa had rolled up R-Truth to capture the gold.
However, Bad Bunny’s appearances in WWE haven’t been met with universal acclaim, with WWE Hall Of Famer Arn Anderson being critical of the move on his ARN podcast.
Bad Bunny was the #1 listened to artist across 2020 via Spotify, taking the world by storm, as well as winning multiple Latin Grammy Awards, American Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards for Best Reggaeton Performance, Artist of the Year and Top Latin Album of the Year among others. Bad Bunny’s most recent album El Último Tour Del Mundo – which features the single Booker T – debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, and was the first all-Spanish-language album to reach #1 in the 64-year history of the all-genre chart, as well as #1 on Apple Music’s global “Top Albums” chart for all genres.
