Backstage Update On Ronda Rousey’s WWE Status

Ronda Rousey returns at Royal Rumble

The Baddest Woman on the Planet, Ronda Rousey, is positioned as one of the top heels on SmackDown moving forward.

On October 8th at Extreme Rules, Ronda Rousey finally reclaimed her SmackDown Women’s Championship by making Liv Morgan pass out. The Baddest Woman on the Planet is now a three-time women’s champion in WWE and seems utterly unstoppable on the blue brand.

According to Mike Johnson from PWInsider, Rousey will now be one of the top heels on SmackDown moving forward. This comes after she’s been receiving a mixed reaction from fans since she returned earlier this year at the Royal Rumble.

Although it has been obvious for some time this was the direction she was going in, we are told that WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey is now considered a heel internally.

Now that Rousey is a heel, one has to wonder what direction the company will take the former champion, Liv Morgan. Following her devastating loss at Extreme Rules, Morgan was seen backstage in an almost depressive state and refusing to answer questions from the interviewer.

Some speculated whether her loss at Extreme Rules might result in a heel turn. However, it appears the Baddest Woman on the Planet will be the top female heel, and Morgan may remain babyface.

As for Rousey, she’s already shown signs of turning heel on social media when she mocked Morgan supporters by calling them “neckbeards” and invited them to “go home and cry about it.”
