The much anticipated Rhea Ripley vs. Dominik Mysterio match may still be on the cards.
SummerSlam saw the shocking end to the Mami and “Dirty” Dom alliance when Mysterio chose Morgan over Ripley, confirming his choice with a kiss on the ramp as a distraught Ripley looked on. Although Ripley has briefly got payback on Morgan and Mysterio with a win as Bash in Berlin that also saw Mysterio choked out by Ripley, The Eradicator has yet to deliver those 2 crucial final blows.
Fans have been expecting Ripley to win back the title from Morgan and hit the riptide on Mysterio, but has failed to do either on numerous occasions. Additionally, despite the fact that WWE has been extremely reserved over booking intergender matches in the modern era, it has been heavily speculated that an exception could be made to allow Ripley to finally get her hands on Dom.
Speaking about the possible match on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Q and A, WrestleVotes has said that there is still an interest in making the match a reality before interest dips:
“I know it’s been brought up. Unfortunately, I don’t know how high it’s made it but there is a real desire on some level of creative to do this match before the angle fizzles out, yes,”
