Backstage Update On Injured WWE Star

Another WWE Raw Star Moved To SmackDown, When Will The Talent Transfer Window Close?

One WWE star looks to be taking the next step in his recovery from injury.

In the main event of Survivor Series, Bronson Reed teamed with Bloodline members Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa to go to battle against Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk inside WarGames.

Near the end of the match, Reed climbed up to the top of the cage and attempted to hit a Tsunami on Roman Reigns, but CM Punk was able to make the save for his teammate at the last minute. Reed landed awkwardly and injured his ankle on his fall. In the end, Reigns pinned Solo Sikoa to score the victory for his team.

Reed underwent surgery in December, and in January, he clarified that his injury was far more serious than originally believed. The star revealed that he’d completely smashed his talus bone in half, requiring extensive surgery. Unfortunately, the severity of his injuries take him out of the running for a match at WrestleMania.

Now, PWInsider reports that Reed was spotted in Birmingham, AL on March 11th. Birmingham is the site of Andrews Sports Medicine, and Reed is likely in Birmingham to consult about his recovery progress, prognosis, and timetable for an in-ring return.

When Will Bronson Reed Return To WWE?

There is no official word on when the star will return to in-ring action, but a previous report from Dave Meltzer indicated it would likely be May or June before Reed can wrestle again in WWE due to the severity of his injury.

Everyone at Inside the Ropes continues to wish Bronson Reed well in his continued recovery.
