Backstage Update On Deal Between Logan Paul And WWE

Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39

Since joining WWE, Logan Paul has become one of the most divisive stars in modern WWE.

Paul took his first steps into the company in the run-up to WrestleMania 37 where he got a Stunner from Kevin Owens at the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All.’ A year later, the YouTube star was in action at the show teaming with The Miz to defeat The Mysterios.

After impressing in the ring, Paul signed a deal with the sports entertainment giant for more matches spanning the rest of 2022 and into 2023. Fresh off the back of putting pen to paper, Paul defeated The Miz at SummerSlam and followed that up with another impressive outing at Crown Jewel against Roman Reigns.

Paul sustained a knee injury during the match but was back in action at the Royal Rumble where he began his feud with Seth Rollins. The rivalry ran all the way to WrestleMania 39 when the pair finally met in the ring.

In the lead-up to the show, Paul revealed that his WWE contract was due to expire, later commenting that the company would be “silly” not to try and re-sign him again.

It has now been reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that Paul might have already agreed on a new deal.

“Logan Paul, when talking about his contract expiring after WrestleMania, did say that he expects to sign a new deal and during the week the talk was that he did sign a new deal.”

Logan Paul To Wrestle At SummerSlam?

While Logan Paul’s future might not have been revealed publicly, it seems that he’s still being kept in mind with regard to future plans. At one stage there were tentative plans for Paul to take on John Cena at WrestleMania, a match he publicly asked for. Interestingly, it has been reported that the bout “remains on the table” and could instead take place at SummerSlam.
