Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks, and Hangman Adam Page have been an integral part of AEW since its inception, but negotiations about their respective futures are ongoing.
Details on exactly when their current contracts expire are few and far between, but according to a new report from Fightful Select, talks regarding new deals are well underway. Although no contracts have been agreed upon, those Fightful spoke to said that AEW is hopeful of retaining the services of all four men despite the return of CM Punk.
With regard to Punk and The Elite, there is no word on the latter’s willingness to work with the star, although creative for several of them is planned well in advance.
The report added that due to time added for injuries, option years, and other variables, it’s difficult to determine when exactly The Elite’s contracts expire.
While WWE would be interested in signing any or all of the four stars if they became unavailable, the company doesn’t expect this to happen. Furthermore, the sports entertainment giant is “nowhere near being legally allowed to talk to any of them.”
Most in AEW expect Omega, Page, and the Bucks to stay with the company with significant pay increases.
