Adam Cole remains absent from All Elite Wrestling but it appears that there could be some light at the end of the tunnel.
The former NXT Champion hasn’t stepped in the ring since competing at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door against Hangman Adam Page, Kazuchika Okada and Jay White on June 26th. During the match, Cole sustained a concussion, which reportedly came just weeks after he had sustained another concussion in a match against Samoa Joe.
Adam Cole “Doing Better”
While details on Cole’s condition remained elusive, it was noted that those within AEW had become increasingly concerned about the star. Despite this, AEW President Tony Khan later offered a more positive update, commenting that he was hopeful about his comeback.
In response to a question from a fan on social media, Dave Meltzer has now suggested that Adam Cole is doing “much better” but AEW remain cautious.
“He’s doing much better. The last I heard is they were being cautious. Don’t have any time frame for a return. With concussions, you can’t predict time frame.”

Adam Cole hasn’t appeared on AEW television since August where he and reDRagon turned on the Young Bucks, ending The Undisputed Elite.
The former NXT star made his debut with AEW at All Out in September 2021 where he aligned with the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. As Omega took time out to recover from a number of injuries, Cole assumed control of The Elite and was quickly joined by Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish.
Cole went on to challenge for the AEW World Championship on two occasions, but was ultimately successful.
Adam Cole’s stablemate Kyle O’Reilly also remains out of action which Bobby Fish has since left All Elite Wrestling altogether.
