Backstage Update On Absent AEW Star

An update has been provided on a member of the AEW roster who has been out of action for a considerable amount of time.

Last competing at the Worlds End pay-per-view back in December 2023 and defeating Andrade in the match, Miro has been absent following the victory and with no indication of making a return. In an update by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the former TNT Champion had been in his native country of Bulgaria “for some time” but was spotted in Los Angeles over the past weekend while the company was in England to host All In.

Johnson adds that while there is still no indication of when he will return to the ring, he is now back in the United States.

Back in March, CJ Perry confirmed that she and Miro had separated. The TMZ report that broke the news stated that the former TNT Champion had relocated to Bulgaria following the split.

Miro Previously Commented On AEW Absence

Shortly before the Revolution pay-per-view, Tony Khan booked a Meat Madness match to take place on the show that was set to see the heavyweights of the division battle it out. However, due to multiple stars being unable to compete due to injury, the match did not take place and was instead replaced with an All-Star Scramble match. When Miro was asked by a fan about the cancelled match, the former TNT Champion explained why he was away from TV.
