A new report has given an insight into why Theory appears to be getting pushed up the card ahead of the likes of Riddle.
Riddle’s stock within WWE took an upswing with his partnership with Randy Orton. After Orton’s injury, many thought Riddle would finally be pushed as a main event superstar. However, the company has seemingly chosen to push Theory instead.
Theory captured the men’s Money in the Bank briefcase after knocking Riddle off the ladder. Although the Original Bro got a bit of revenge when he pinned Theory to win a tag match on this week’s episode of Raw.
Speaking on Mat Men, Andrew Zarian explained why WWE has decided not to push Riddle all the way. Apparently, some backstage believe that it’s just not his time yet.
”Someone said why did they pass on Riddle. I asked, and they said ‘it’s not his time, don’t worry about Riddle, it’s not his time’,’ said Zarian
Zarian also speculated that Theory hasn’t been getting over with the fans because many feel his push is forced. The 23-year-old already won the U.S. Championship and may soon be on his way to winning the World Championship. He has repeatedly teased that he’ll cash-in his briefcase at SummerSlam after the Last Man Standing match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.
Meanwhile, Riddle is looks to be heading into a possible SummerSlam match against Seth Rollins. The two crossed paths in the weeks leading up to Money In The Bank and have continued interacting on Raw.
