The main event of AEW Full Gear saw Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy go to war inside the ring but it was what happened after the match that left everyone talking.
The wild and bloody brawl was littered with interference from the Death Riders and the Conglomeration. Just when Cassidy appeared to have Moxley beaten, Wheeler Yuta intervened, allowing his stablemate to secure the victory and retain the title. However, the chaos didn’t end there.
A post-match beatdown in which the Death Riders poured disinfectant into Cassidy’s mouth was halted by Hangman Adam Page, which left both the audience and Moxley in shock.
An intense staredown between the two was ended by Christian Cage who hit Moxley with the Killswitch and appeared to be using his contract to get a title shot. However, his attempt was thwarted by Jay White, who attacked him, which allowed Moxley and his crew to escape.
The Death Riders headed backstage and to a waiting car. But before they could get in and speed away another car hurtled into the side of the getaway vehicle rendering it out of action.
Claudio Castagnoli then commandeered another vehicle for the escape. As the Death Riders fled, Darby Allin emerged from the wreckage screaming and smashing the windshield of the truck with his skateboard as the show went off the air.
According to PWInsider, the chaotic segment was to highlight the amount of challengers Moxley has gunning for the World Championship with Hangman Page, Christian Cage, Darby Allin, and Jay White all in contention.
