A new report has revealed whether Darby Allin was actually driving the car that crashed at AEW Full Gear.
In the main event of Full Gear, Jon Moxley defeated Orange Cassidy to retain the AEW World Championship. Cassidy seemed to have the upper hand on several occasions, but Wheeler Yuta proved to be the difference-maker when he hit a Busaiko Knee on the challenger while the referee was dealing with the Death Riders and Conglomeration on the outside. The move allowed Moxley to drop Orange with a Death Rider DDT for the victory.
The chaos continued after the match, with ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and Jay White getting involved while Christian Cage also attempted to captialise on the situation to cash in his World Title contract. The leader of The Patriarchy didn’t get a chance, though, as Moxley and his group escaped out of the arena.
Just as they were about to get in their truck, though, Darby Allin crashed into it to try to prevent them leaving. Instead, Moxley’s crew stole a car and got away from the arena as Allin continued yelling at them and smashed up the truck.

Darby Allin Didn’t Use A Stuntman At AEW Full Gear
Allin is known to be a daredevil who will happily do his own stunts, but due to the way the scene unfolded, it seemed that a stuntman could easily have been used at Full Gear.
As it turns out, this was not the case, as Bryan Alvarez has confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Allin did crash the car, and it looked like he “damn near killed himself” in the process.
“And so they take off in the car, and limping, covered in blood, out of the other car is Darby, and I can tell you, it wasn’t a stuntman. He was driving the car, and I think he damn near killed himself, because he gets out of the car, he’s covered in blood, and he’s supposed to get on the car, the truck that he ran into, and destroy it with a skateboard.
“This guy is stumbling around. He had him get on the truck, and he slips off the truck. And he tried. He falls off the truck, and he finally gets up there, and he’s all woozy, and he starts hitting the truck with a skateboard. I was like, did he get a concussion? Like, did he hurt himself? Why did they let him drive the car? Why do they have a stuntman?”
Recently, Darby Allin claimed he is ready to be the face of AEW, and it looks like he will continue to pursue that goal as he leads the charge against The Death Riders.
