TNT have today announced a new ad campaign for AEW Dynamite – with the help of the award-winning Director X!
AEW’s “Boundless” campaign is spear-headed by the new video from Director X, AKA Julien Christian Lutz, who has worked with Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Usher, John Mayer and many more. Director X’s accolades include winning Video Director of the Year at the 2016 BET Awards, Best Hip Hop Video at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards and Best Video at the 2020 MTV European Music Awards.
In an interview with Miro recently, The Best Man told Inside The Ropes about the part he played in the video.
“I just went and shot a video. It’s a great project for TNT and AEW, and I shot it with Director X – who is like one of the most famous directors. We went into this arcade store – Keg and Coin. It’s like a mom and pop shop. The owner claims, which I’m going to put him to the test in a couple of weeks, he dresses as Sub-Zero and plays people in Mortal Kombat II. And if you beat him, you win a certain reward – so I’m going to put this to a test in a couple of weeks.”
Miro is one of many names to feature in the video, which AEW describes as “celebrating the world-class roster of diverse male and female wrestlers” and “telling the underdog story of the stars of AEW.”
In their press release for the video, AEW reveal some impressive numbers in terms of Dynamite’s reach.
“Wednesday’s #1 wrestling show, “AEW Dynamite” exploded onto the wrestling scene when it premiered on TNT in 2019. Featuring fast-paced, high-impact competitions with real sports analytics, the critically acclaimed series has continued to deliver high-performing episodes each week, reaching more than 59 million people across TNT’s linear and digital platforms. The show also delivers the youngest wrestling audience on television.”
AEW Dynamite streams every Wednesday at 1am via Fite TV.
