Austin Theory Sends Warning To John Cena Ahead Of Rumoured WrestleMania 39 Clash

Jim Cornette praises John Cena segment

On February 20th it was announced that John Cena will be back on Monday Night Raw very soon.

John Cena hasn’t appeared on WWE television since the December 30, 2022 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

On that occasion, Cena teamed with Kevin Owens to defeat Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in tag team action. The match meant that Cena kept his run alive of wrestling at least once every year since he made his debut.

Cena has recently been in Australia filming new movie “Ricky Stanicky” in some rather interesting outfits, however, it has now been announced that he will be appearing live from the TD Garden in Boston on March 6th.

It has long been rumoured that Cena will also be stepping into the ring at WrestleMania to take on United States Champion Austin Theory. The 25-year-old star recently successfully defended his title inside Elimination Chamber via a huge helping hand from Logan Paul. He followed this up with a win over Edge on Raw, this time aided by Finn Balor who attacked the WWE Hall of Famer.

Speaking in a WWE digital exclusive after the show, Theory reflected on his recent run of success.

“I feel so good. You don’t know how it feels to be the United States Champion at 25 years old, the now [and] the forever of WWE. I entered the Elimination Chamber this year, my second Elimination Chamber, and I beat five of the best in the WWE.

But that wasn’t enough for me. You know why? Because I got work ethic. I outwork everybody. I get up, I out-train everybody, I eat more meals than everybody, I stay on top of everything. Guess what? Moved on from that, the Elimination Chamber victory, and I showed up on my show, Monday night Raw, and an open challenge for the champ’s title. I beat ‘The Rated-R Superstar’, Mr. Hall of Famer himself, Edge. So yes, I feel good,”

Austin Theory Determined To Outshine John Cena

Continuing on, Theory said that he was now ready to give John Cena a warm welcome back to Monday Night Raw.

“The headlines now, they certainly read Austin Theory is the now and the forever of the WWE. That little John Cena thing, two weeks away, Monday night Raw, John Cena, I can’t wait for that. I can’t wait to bring him home and give him a warm, warm welcome to Monday night Raw. You want to know why? Because things are a little different around here now. Now, the now. Remember that,

Cena’s appearance on Raw will be his first since June 27th, 2022 when he celebrated the 20th anniversary of his WWE debut.
