AEW star Austin Gunn has quashed rumors regarding his and his brother’s unexplained absence.
The Gunns are one of the most popular tag teams in AEW today. Featuring the likes of Colten and Austin Gunn, the sons of the legendary Billy Gunn, the tag team is a part of the Bang Bang Gang stable. However, they haven’t been seen on TV in quite a while.
Their last appearance was back on the February 11, 2025 episode of Dynamite. On that show, The Gunns challenged Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, AKA The Hurt Syndicate, for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, they fell short.
132 days have passed since then, with not a single appearance from the duo. Recently, though, Austin Gunn took to X to share a GIF of himself and his brother. One fan responded with a question, wondering if an injury was the reason why they haven’t been seen in some time. Austin replied, quashing the idea with a one-word message.
Nope!”
Check out the exchange here.
It will be interesting to see when The Gunns return, and more importantly, if they will once again make a run at The Hurt Syndicate and the AEW World Tag Team titles.
Austin Gunn was last seen with the Bang Bang Gang in September 2024
While it has only been 132 days since The Gunns were in action, it has been even longer for the Bang Bang Gang. The group, also known as Bullet Club Gold, was last seen in action on AEW more than half a year ago on the September 12, 2024 episode of Collision.
Even then, the entire Bang Bang Gang wasn’t present. In the absence of their leader, Jay White, Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, and Colten Gunn took on Cage of Agony and came out on top. The stable is one of the most entertaining in wrestling today, so it would be great to see them back performing in AEW soon.
