Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena is a big fan of supervillains.
At ROH Final Battle, Athena made her 25th successful title defence. In the main event of the show held in the iconic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, the champion faced her former friend Billie Starkz.
To mark her 741st day as champion, Athena entered the arena dressed as one of Batman’s most popular foes, Harvey “Two-Face” Dent. Athen is no stranger to cosplay, revealed she chose the Gotham City villain as their split personalities are similar.
Speaking at the post-show press conference, the champion stated:
“Two-Face. I’ve been told that I have a mean streak in me. It’s really unbelievable. I am the sweetest thing in the world. I’m a big Batman fan. Batman is my absolute favorite superhero. I love all the villains because at any point in time Batman could just not be good. The villains really stand out to me.
Harvey Dent with him fighting the good parts of himself with the bad. It’s so beautiful and chaotic that I felt like I had to do an ode. I’m just a big fan of that particular Two-Face. I’m glad that everyone understood. It was a lot of, I’ve been told I have a mean streak and can lose my temper.
Maybe, a teeny bit. I felt like having the different sides of Athena, the good side meets the teeny bit angry side, was a nice conglomeration. No gimmick infringement intended.”

Athena Surpassed Samoa Joe To Reach Major Ring Of Honor Milestone
Earlier this year, Athena achieved a significant milestone in Ring of Honor history by becoming the longest-reigning Women’s World Champion, with a reign of 700+ days.
This makes her the longest-reigning champion in promotion history, surpassing the reign of any other champion, regardless of gender as her current reign exceeds the 645-day reign of Samoa Joe as Ring of Honor World Champion from 2003 to 2004.
