Ash By Elegance’s debut caught the attention of TNA and AEW fans.
Previously known as Dana Brooke in WWE, Ash By Elegance was shown in the crowd at the TNA Hard to Kill pay-per-view on January 13th. Along with the new name, the recent TNA signee debuted a new look. With a shorter hairstyle and glamorous attire, Ash By Elegance looked completely different to her previous persona Dana Brooke. However, fans did note a different similarity.
With the vintage look and shorter hairstyle, many have compared the package to AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm, who previously underwent a transformation as part of her “Timeless” persona. Addressing the fans who have the same comments, Ash By Elegance took to social media to clear the air:
Relax everyone … it’s a hair style… I haven’t cut a promo, or step foot in the ring & y’all are hating… lemme tell ya something, I like Toni Storm but respectfully she will never be me & I’ll never be her!! But at least your talking about me
Storm provided guest commentary on the January 17th broadcast of Dynamite for the match between Deonna Purrazzo and Anna Jay. After the match, Storm would express her displeasure at Purrazzo, hurling shoes at The Virtuosa while on Luther’s shoulders.
Ash By Elegance Looks Back On WWE Career
The TNA wrestler is starting the next stage of her wrestling career after previously competing in WWE for a decade. Despite a lengthy career with the company, Brooke never captured any Women’s Championships. Looking back on her involvement in the 2019 Money in the Bank match, it was stated that a spot was scrapped by higher-ups and that WWE never believed in Dana Brooke.
